It oversees Building Inspection (Permits), Planning and Stormwater.

The Building Inspection Division is dedicated to the enforcement of the community's standards for safety, health, state and local construction codes and provides, efficient plan review, inspections and code enforcement, through the review of applications, building plans, construction documents, and on-site inspections by specially qualified personnel.

Inspectors may be contacted between 8 a.m. to 9 am Monday-Friday.

The Stormwater Division provides assistance to residences, businesses, builders and developers over federal, state and local regulations pertaining to the quality of runoff and potential runoff to keep in compliance with The Clean Water Act.

The Planning Division is responsible for coordinating the comprehensive planning activities of the city, administering the subdivision regulations, and coordinating the pre-development phase of the development of private property. The Division also prepares cases for the Planning and Zoning Commission and the Zoning Board of Adjustment.
