The Odessa Police Department is mourning the loss of K9 Maximus. Due to medical problems, he has crossed the rainbow bridge.
K9 Maximus was a dual-purpose narcotics/tactical dog. He started in 2013 and served the Odessa Police Department until late 2020.
K9 Maximus was an important member of OPD. He was involved in the apprehension of numerous violent criminals, along with the seizure of multiple narcotics throughout his tenure.
You will be dearly missed, K9 Maximus. We thank you for your service.
